The Società Sportiva Lazio, also known as S.S. Lazio or Lazio, is the first football team in Rome.
S.S. Lazio was founded on 9th January 1900 from the italian's army soldier Luigi Bigiarelli in Piazza della Libertà, in the center of Rome.

S.S. Lazio joined to the Italian Federation of football on 1908 and it participated at first federal championship on 1910.
The club lived important period at the beginning of years '10 because it won 2 consecutive championship of southern Italy and it reached the final of italian championship for 3 times vs Pro Vercelli (1913) Casale (1914) and Genoa (1923) but it could not win them .
on 1927, S.S. Lazio was the only roman football team to resist at the will of fascist regime to gaither all the roman football club in an only team, wich then became AS Roma :(
The "Biancocelesti" participated at the first Italian championship in a single group in 1929,and, in 1936 trained from Silvio Piola, the most prolific forward in all the history of Italian Championship, they arrived 2nd, missing the victory of the tournament.
In 1937, S.S. Lazio arrived to the final of the Tournament of Central Europe, losing with Ferencvaros.
S.S. Lazio won its 1st official trophy in 1958, beating Fiorentina for 1-0 in the final of Coppa Italia.
The settlement of the Roman financier Sergio Cragnotti, which took place in 1992, radically changed the history of the Lazio club and relaunched it in the championship and in European competitions thanks to its important investments that led the Biancocelesti to excel in Italy and Europe but the successes come at the end of year '90 with the mr. Sven-Goran Eriksson, because Lazio won 2 Coppa Italia, 2 Supercoppa Italiana, a Cup of the Cups, a Supercoppa UEFA vs Manchester United and a Championship, a lot!
in 2003 Lazio arrived at the Semi-final of Uefa Cup, and in 2004 it won a Coppa Italia, in 2004 the Roman business owner Claudio Lotito saves Lazio from the financial bankruptcy distributing debts in 23 years.
In 2013 Lazio won in the Roman derby the 6th Coppa Italia, an epic victory! In August 2017 Lazio won its 4th Supercoppa Italiana vs Juventus for 3-2, with an epic goal at 94' of the very young Alessandro Murgia.
